The delivered hopper discharge conveyor of the type OAO 1500/1000-UVG38X+AB has been designed for the installation conditions at the customer's site. A flow sensor is integrated in the discharge conveyor, which indicates the fill level (empty or full) of the discharge chute via an inductive sensor. In addition, a pipe for flushing is integrated in the rear wall of the hopper outlet.

usability:

The customer received a solution that allows continuous discharging from the bunker and optimal access for maintenance. The space situation was optimally used by fixing the unit to the bunker (no additional support frames).

The VSB 980/2500-UVG21W screen supplied has been individually adapted to the customer's application and installation conditions. The screen tension is selected in such a way that the individual screen linings can be changed quickly and easily. Rock salt is to be separated underground. For this purpose, the main product stream is pre-classified after the first crushing stage (roller crusher) by means of a bar grate. In terms of the separation plant, this partial stream contains both coarse material and fine material, which are to be separated by a screen. The coarse material and the fine material are returned to the main product tower above ground. The medium material is fed to the separation plant for the separation of rock salt. The task is to supply a suitable screening machine that separates the feed stream into the above fractions. The unit was designed as a fine screen (type VSF1840/5600ASS-UVP119W) with changeable screen inserts. The first screen deck is used to screen the coarse material larger than 3.0 mm and the lower screen deck is used to screen the fraction < 1.0 mm. The screen construction was designed with a frame construction in which the screen inserts are fixed in place and with a cover above. The complete frames are braced together by means of threaded rods.

The supplied bunker discharge conveyor with a length of 2200mm and a width of 800mm (type OA2200/800ASS-UVG21W + AB +FN) is exactly aligned to the installation conditions at the customer's site. The needle valve serves as a shut-off device. The conveyor trough is provided with a screening area at the outlet.

A screening zone is integrated in the bottom of the conveyor trough, which reduces the fine material by means of protective screening. For hygienic reasons, the feed chute is equipped with a cover and the inlet and outlet connections are sealed with sealing sleeves.

AViTEQ offered a combination of a weighfeeder and a vibratory feeder with magnetic vibrator. The vibratory feeder is used to close the hopper and as a discharge device to gently discharge the DRI and feed it to the downstream weigh feeder. The weigh feeder measures the throughput via weighing cells and, in conjunction with the vibratory feeder, regulates the amount of DRI required.

The vibratory feeder can be used to discharge the highly abrasive DRI from the bunker. A tipping device is used for loading a galvanising barrel. The operator pours the raw material into the chute of the tipping device. By means of a scale on the device, the operator knows how much he has to put into the chute. The loading system is to be automated in a more user-friendly way as part of a conversion project. The raw material is to be discharged directly from the crate used into a material hopper located above the oscillating conveyor chute. When the required weight of the material is reached, a flap is to close the system.

solution:

AViTEQ offers a solution with a vibrating discharge unit (OA1500/500ASK-MVD). This consists of a hopper above the vibrating feeder that pulls the product out of the hopper and a pneumatic flap system. The flap, which is rotatably mounted on the chute, opens the conveyor chute via pneumatic cylinders and moves a chute to the end of the vibrating feeder. The vibrating conveyor chute then feeds the product from the hopper into the chute, which directs the product into the drum. When the entered target weight is reached, the flap closes. The surfaces that the screws touch are additionally protected with a sprayed-on polyurethane. In addition to wear protection, this also minimises noise.

usability:

The discharge unit minimises the working time of the person filling the system. The operator no longer has to weigh manually the correct quantity on site. The system is only filled and then independently regulates which quantity is fed into the galvanising drum. By using the magnetic vibrator drive, there are no further follow-up costs due to wear. For this purpose, AViTEQ produces a vibrating feeder with a total length of 7.5 meters (OA7500 / 800-UVP85V). The vibrations allow the plumb elements to be conveyed cleanly into an oven. In the discharge area of the channel into the furnace, a screw-on "nose" made of highly heat-resistant stainless steel was attached, which protrudes into the furnace. The product has to be discharged from a bunker and all fine parts have to be separated from the coarse grain for the further process. Very good sealing and economical cleaning intervals were further basic requirements for the screening. The loading of a multi-head weigher also requires the possibility of a quick start/stop for the  conveying process.

The customer received a guided arm vibrating screen type OLR 500 / 2500-2MV421 / 16 with a width of 500 mm and a length of 2500 mm with magnetic drive and frequency controlled. Due to the high standards QS2.1 in the food industry, the trough and the cover were made of stainless steel 1.4571 polished electrochemically. The screen linings were installed in a trough-shaped construction for sealing reasons and balls ensure constant cleaning. Ergonomic quick-release fasteners the long cleaning intervals have also been installed.

The vibrating screen has a very low energy consumption, is very quiet and there is a very gentle conveyance with a compact and flat design. The well-sealed screen results in a fairly pure product. The customer receives additional products for the dog food production. These 25kg containers are delivered from suppliers from all over the world. For quality reasons, the bags should be subjected to a protective screening in order to be able to screen out any foreign objects (such as fishing nets, metal parts, etc.). The linear feeder screen should also be movable for production reasons.

solution:

A compact feeder type KF12 was supplied as a screen with a trough with a length of 1200mm and a width of 300mm. The trough is made of V2A (1.4301) electrochemically polished and has perforated plates in the floor of the outlet area. The hole diameter is approx. 3-5 mm and the trough is designed with a free outlet for oversize particles. The bunker is also made of V2A (1.4301) and electrochemically polished with a slide gate for layer height adjustment and with a movable frame.

Rock is delivered by truck into bunker. An extraction machine then takes care of the transport from the bunker to the crusher. During the feeding process to the crusher, the undersize and medium grain should be screened out so that only the oversize is fed to the crusher. At this point, the use of a Vibrating GRIZZLY screen is necessary.

A Vibrating GRIZZLY screen with a width of 1800mm and a length of 4750mm was installed between the extraction machine and crusher, which is driven by an unbalance exciter. A rubber coating in the inlet area of the screen trough provides the necessary impact protection. Subsequently, the rod grate screen ensures the desired separation of the undersize and medium grain from the oversize, so that only the oversize is transferred to the crusher in the discharge area. Granulated crunchy cereals should be conveyed upwards in the production process and at the same time cooled in such a way that it can be packed at the right temperature in the big bags at the end. Two tasks, one solution...       

solution:

The best solution for this task is our cooling spiral elevator type WFW6170 / 1200, which transports the cereals carefully up to an outlet height of 7.7 m while cooling down the still hot product. It is driven by two very large unbalance motors type UVP119W. All parts are made in V2A (1.4301). The surfaces of the spirals have been blasted using a special procedure. The ViwateQ® process meets the requirements of the food industry and produces high-polished surfaces. The surfaces of all other parts are pickled and passivated.

usability:

The advantage of that the spiral elevator is the soft product handling while cooling down at the same time. Each individual spiral base can also be cooled separately, which enables a very fine temperature control. The use of the cooling spiral feeder is efficiant within the cost in the production process and also regarding the substainability.

The shrimps are fed at the inlet area with a width of only 400 mm, so that they are partly in a multi layer position. In addition to the primary task of continuous feeding to the sorter at a width of 1200 mm, the secondary task was to obtain a monolayer at the transfer point. Both tasks could be fulfilled with the executed feeder and thus an optimal supply to the sorter.

Two KF12 small conveyor drives are placed side by side to provide the necessary flow rate for this individual trough. The executed trough is made of stainless steel 1.4301 and is electrochemically polished. The conveyor cross-section is rectangular. The design is open with a free outlet to the front, so that an optimal introduction into the production process can take place. In the inlet area is a baffle, which should solve the parts from each other. The middle part is designed with multi-track U-profiles and is limited by baffles.

In this case, the material should be fed via a feed bunker with layer height adjustment and foreign body protection on the hopper inlet. The material is metered from the closed system into the production process. 

solution:

The customer has purchased a small tube feeder that is driven by a magnetic drive, type eKF6 / 630 / D114-T50, which is certified to be operated in the ATEX Zone 22. The bunker is not closed and has foreign body protection for safety reasons. The round outlet is sealed by a cuff and that results to a full closed system.

usability:

The tube feeder of an explosion-proof design with a bunker in stainless steel design was chosen to suit the specific installation situation and executed as a closed system. This also fulfills all requirements of the ATEX Zone 22. The bunker acts as a buffer and thus enables a continuous dosing into the production process.

Shredded scrap metal is placed with a front end loader into a bunker. The bunker has to be fed continuously by weighing to an existing belt. The bunker stands in an acceptance hall and the very abrasive scrap metal is then further processed inside the hall. Therefore, there was a requirement to avoid dust as much as possible.

solution:

The parameters of the delivered feeder OA 4600 / 700ASS-MVG33-1P are designed exactly to the customer’s requirements. The capacity of the bunker was given as 5.8 m³. The material, which is in contact with the product has to be non-metallic because of the magnetic properties of the scrap metal. An installed water spraying system prevents the formation of dust. The simultaneous weighing is also installed for a continuous filling of the bunker.

usability:

The customer has received a complete solution that enables continuous filling of the bunker by weighing, minimizes dust formation and, thanks to the robust design, also meets the requirements of the abrasive bulk material. The unit was designed to use the best use of the space available.

In a vacuum conveyor for candies the discharge area has to be empty every 3 to 4 minutes. Here, in the case of round candies, 1 to 2 kg of chewy candy pieces (punch residues) are deposited per emptying, which are dosed uniformly into a mixing screw until the next emptying of the vacuum conveyor and thus are to be returned to the production process.

solution:

The customer has received a tubular conveyor with magnetic drive and hopper type KF1 / 100 / D101-T (S). The hopper has a cover to provide a closed system.

usability:

The tube feeder with hopper in stainless steel design was adapted exactly to the situation installed and executed as a closed system for fulfilling all requirements of the food industry. The hopper serves as a buffer for different flow rates and for continuous dosing to the mixing screw.

The customer required a new transport system solution for his material infeed within his steel plant, as part of this project the customer required a new bunker discharge conveyor. The bunker was located outside and was fed by a bucket unloader. The first priority was that the discharge of the material should not disturb the construction of the bunker or the flow of material. A reconstruction of the existing bunker system was to be avoided. Therefore the conveyors had to be designed for the specific application.

solution:

Two trough conveyors type OA with the length of 3,500 mm and the width of 2,000 mm.

usability:

Due to the high flow rate, the customer received two trough conveyors. They would be positioned parallel to the existing conveyor belt. The installation of each trough conveyor was inclined 12 °. Also due to the high flow rate, unbalance exciter’s were the best solution. The final solution meant that no reconstruction of the existing bunker system were required.

A French handling company has designed and built a complete granite processing plant for his end customer based in the France. Within the processing plant, the granite stones have to be drained of excess water at various points. For this they sought an efficient solution. It was important that the screen media can be changed, so to reduce downtime.

solution:

The granite stone material is generally greater than 2 mm grain size. This is the perfect situation for the AViTEQ dewatering Screens, which is developed for granulates. They offer the advantage that they can be constructed more easily compared to conventional dewatering screens for sand. As a result, small unbalanced motors can achieve very good performance and also dewatering results. The total of 6 dewatering screens are driven by robust AViTEQ unbalanced motors, which are specially designed for longevity and difficult conditions. The outlet area is protected against wear with Hardox 400 liner plates. The screen decks consists of polyurethane screen media with a mesh width of 4mm x 23mm, which are arranged transversely to the conveying direction. A special easy change system has been installed, which allows a quick and easy change of screen decks. In addition, the complete dewatering screen are completely galvanized. So to reduce corrosion through their service life.

usability:

Through the use of the AViTEQ dewatering screens, the plant builder was able to offer his end customer a dewatering solution that corresponds to his expectations regarding the desired moisture value. The special screen system was also able to meet the requirements of a quick screen deck change. The grinding balls crush the calcite into a very fine proportion (95% <30μ) and in a fraction with broken pieces. The friction of the grinding balls in the mill results in a temperature of 110 ° C in the product mixture. The combination of a high fine content and temperature leads to the fine content adhering to the grinding balls. The customer is now looking for a solution for the following problem. On the one hand, he wants to free the grinding balls from the fine portion and return them back to the mill, since manual cleaning is time-consuming and cost-intensive. He would like to classify the fine part of the fragments. The fine part represents the finished product. The fraction with the broken pieces are useless for further use in the grain size. For this reason, the fragment should be returned to the grinding process in order to reach the correct grain size.

solution:

AViTEQ proposed to the customer a linear vibrating screen driven by unbalanced motors (VSB1500 / 3000-2UVK79W). The screen has 2 fine screen decks made of long-life thin-wire with large open screen area. The upper screen deck has a long mesh of 2 x 6 mm and the lower one a square mesh of 1x1 mm. Two difficulties with respect to the screen had to be solved constructively. The first thing to mention is that the bulk material mixture has a temperature of 110 ° C. As a result of the introduction of heat into the screen decks, a length expansion occurs and the screen deck is in danger of "fluttering" and thereby causing damage to the screen media. Due to an intelligent spring tension, the screen decks does not lose its tension even in the case of a longitudinal expansion. The fine proportion of the calcite (97%

<30μ) is the second problem. The fine proportion in the bulk material mixture tends to blind and block the screen decks and, in conjunction with temperature, also lead to adhesion (caking) to the screen body. Vibration is the ideal solution for this problem. A high acceleration of the screen basket and the screen decks of 4.5 G and a vibration (swinging width) of 8.2 mm at a frequency of 16 2/3 Hz will remove the fine portion from the screen. In order to prevent "caking" in the bottom area of the sieve, the floor was made of highly polished, polished stainless steel (IIIC). The screen is rounded with temperature-resistant sleeves (up to 200 ° C) in the inlet and outlet area.

AViTEQ chose a linear vibration screen with unbalance motors (VSBO 1600/6000 - ASS - 2UVP119W) as the best solution. The screen has a length of 6000 mm and a width of 1600 mm. As screen insert were used Longitudinal tensioner, which can be quickly removed. The screen holes are long meshes and the material of the screen cover consists of spring steel. The screen is driven by two 6-pole unbalance motors with a speed of 1,000 rpm (corresponds to a vibration frequency of 16.67 Hz). Additional linings made of Hardox 450 help against wear. In order to keep the dust load low, the screen has a dedusting flange for classifiying the dust particles. A special aluminum plate was also used for the inspection covers, which is characterized by its lightness and stability.

By means of the screen, the customer achieves the desired screen quality and can use the limestone optimally in his process. The screen is designed for longevity and temperature fluctuations. The dedusting prevents dust from spreading in the production environment and the special aluminum honeycomb plate allows for a very easy removal of the inspection cover without loss of sensitivity.
